Established in Gaziantep in 1989, Şölen has offered a rich product portfolio in the categories of snacks, children's products, gifts, and treats with over 35 years of experience. Şölen continues its activities by focusing on food safety, hygiene and quality with its innovative vision.

Incorporating brands such as Biscolata, Ozmo, Milango, Boombastic, Luppo, Nutymax and Papita which have achieved formidable success worldwide, Şölen exports over 200 product types to over 120 countries from the USA to Belgium, from Japan to the Maldives. Şölen also has regional offices in Dubai, Algeria, Azerbaijan, the USA, Saudi Arabia, Germany and England as well as regional directorates in the Levant Region, Canada, China, and Latin America.

With a team of over 3000 workers and an area of 210,000 m2 between its Istanbul and Gaziantep facilities, Şölen has a yearly production capacity of 330 thousand tons and is among the leading factories worldwide with its Industry 4.0 hardware and advanced technology.

Şölen is also the first company in the Turkish food industry to have a single legal entity and an R&D center in 2 different locations, with its R&D centers located in Istanbul and Gaziantep.

Operating with its staff of over 3 thousand workers, Şölen has a yearly production capacity of 330 thousand tons on an area of 210 thousand m2 at its Istanbul facility, with its Gaziantep factory, which was dubbed “Turkey’s Chocolate Factory” and is among the forthcoming factories worldwide with its industry 4.0 hardware and advanced technology.

  • 2023

    Construction of an additional facility investment of 90 thousand square meters started in Gaziantep. Şölen was ranked 54th in the 2023 Global Top 100 Candy Companies determined by Candy Industry. Erdoğan Çoban makes it to the “40 CEOs Under 40” list published by Ekonomist magazine. Russia regional office was opened. OZMO Parks were opened in Gaziantep Nurdağı and Islahiye under the umbrella of “Celebration of Goodness”.

    Chocodans Taste Award Ranked among the top 3 companies in the “Snacks” category at Marketing Turkey’s The ONE Awards Integrated Marketing Awards. In the “Most Admired Companies of the Business World” survey conducted by Capital, ranked among the top 3 companies in the “Biscuits – Chocolate” category. Elif Çoban hands over the CEO position to Erdoğan Çoban. Erdoğan Çoban makes it to the “40 CEOs Under 40” lists published by Fortune Turkey and Ekonomist magazines. Corporate social responsibility activities are gathered under the umbrella of the “Celebration of Goodness”.

    Şölen was ranked 6th in the “Patent Champion Companies” list announced within Turkey's Patent Effect’s 2020 Patent Report and became the patent champion in the category of chocolate, confectionery, and bakery products. The Boombastic Youth Internship Program was launched in order to contribute to the career journeys of young people. Şölen was ranked 54th in the Candy Industry Top 100 list.

    Golden Effie with Ozmo Egg - Crystal Apple Award with Luppo Sandwich Cake Elif Çoban was ranked 16th by one of Turkey’s most prestigious business magazines, Fortune Turkey, on their 10th annual “50 Most Powerful Businesswomen” list. Şölen's first store, Şölen Boutique, opened its doors. Şölen was deemed worthy of the 'Excellence Award' at the 2020 TPM Awards organized by JIPM (Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance) for their Total Productive Maintenance system used in the Istanbul Silivri factory since 2014.

    Şölen was awarded the "Most Reputable Snack Company of the Year" award at The ONE Awards Integrated Marketing Awards organized in cooperation with Marketing Turkey and the market research company AKADEMETRE. Biscolata Mood was selected as the Top Cookie at the Snackie Awards, where the best snacks are selected by TODAY, one of the most read newspapers in America.

  • 2018

    Şölen launched the "Ozmo Egg Faces" product, consisting of 6 different characters with chocolate on the outside and toys on the inside, which was the first in the world to start mass production on a single production line,. In the Crescents and Stars of Packaging Competition organized by the Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD), one of Turkey's most prestigious awards where unique designs and applications are evaluated, Şölen Octavia's new Acetate Box, Cardboard Box, and Bag designs were awarded the Competency Award in the Luxury Packaging category. At the Platinum Global 100 Award Ceremony organized by Platin, one of Turkey's leading economic publications, Şölen was awarded the Industry 4.0 Special Award. At Design Week Turkey, Turkey's most comprehensive design event, Şölen’s Istanbul Collection was deemed worthy of the Best Design Award in the field of product design. Şölen was among the top 3 companies in the "Biscuit-Chocolate" category in the "Most Admired Companies of the Business World" survey, which has been conducted by one of Turkey’s most followed economic magazines, Capital, for the last 18.

    The Boombastic brand was launched in February 2017 with 3 different new products. The Perfect Lover Carlos app designed for Biscolata won the Golden Effie Award. Şölen became the first company in the Turkish food industry to have a single legal entity and an R&D center in 2 different locations, with its R&D center located in Istanbul.

  • 2016

    Ozmo was registered as a “Well-known Brand” by TÜRKPATENT and became the second brand in the Şölen Family to hold the title. The Luppo Sandwich Cake relaunch campaign won the Silver Effie Award in the Sweet & Salty Snacks category at the 2016 Effie Turkey Advertising Event Competition. Şölen became the main sponsor of the “Mosaic Road Project”, which will introduce the mosaics of Anatolia to the whole world by the ONE Association, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Metropolitan Municipalities of Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Şanlıurfa. Elif Çoban was deemed worthy of the “Entrepreneurial Businesswoman of the Year Award” at an award ceremony organized by the Antalya Businesswomen’s Association (ANTIKAD) on March 8, Women's Day. Elif Çoban was ranked 28th on Fortune Turkey’s list of the "50 Most Powerful Businesswomen". At the Crystal Apple Festival 2016, Luppo won the Silver Apple in the Digital, Online Film, Fast Consumption category with its “Luppo Love” campaign.     Ozmo celebrated its 15th anniversary. Biscolata became one of the top 10 snack brands preferred by women. Şölen rose to the 117th level from the 133rd level in the “Turkey's 500 Big Industrial Enterprises” list announced by Istanbul Chamber of Industry.

  • 2014

    Added Canada and United Arab Emirates offices to its international offices. Redesigned its corporate identity and logo. It has reflected in its logo its passion for succeeding by differentiating and also remaining loyal to its values, and its vision of satisfying its consumers by adding flavors exceeding their expectations.

    Golden Effie Award with Biscolata.

  • 2012

    International Business Unit was established. Selected for the Turquality Program for the second time. Milango won the “Good Design” prize in the packaging category in the Design Turkey contest organized within the scope of Turquality. Started the investment in a new integrated facility in Gaziantep.

  • 2011

    Ranked 59th in the Candy Industry Top 100 list that is one of the most important references of the world. Biscolata Pia was selected the «Product of the Year» according to the social media survey conducted by the MediaCat Magazine.

  • 2010

    Changed the Management Model, and separated the Board of Directors and the Executive Board from each other. Became the top chocolate exporter of Turkey.

  • 2009

    Founded the factory in Silivri, Istanbul, and started to produce bakery products. Launched Biscolata Starz, Stix and Luppo Sandwich Cake. Won EFFIE award of 2009 for its «Bayramınız Şölen Olsun» (May your holiday be a feast) Campaign. Its first international TV campaign was launched.
